to strengthen friendship among university women

Scholarship News:  Our first $100 scholarship was given to one high school senior in 1946.   Valley University Women has continuously offered scholarships to graduating high school seniors who will be attending college or university in California.  On June 19, 2018 we awarded 21 scholarships of $3000 each to college-bound high school seniors from the San Fernando Valley.  VUW members have personally raised the funds for our scholarship program through an annual Fundraising Event, silent auctions, individual donations and bequests. Our most recent bequest is from the estate of long-time member Vicki Manchester.

Programs and Activities:

Members enjoy monthly meetings with stimulating topics or musical entertainment.   A variety of small groups or clubs: art, travel, gardening,  discussion, book, bridge, as well as day trips to museums, gardens, and places of historical signficance are monthly activities.  New members are welcomed!  Please plan to attend our next meeting and get information on our many small groups and other activities. We have a monthly newsletter that details our small group activities. .
